My Story
Linda grew up in the Air Force, moving throughout the United States and Europe during her childhood. She is a first generation American on her father’s side of the family and third generation on her mother’s side. It’s her Welsh paternal grandmother she credits with passing down her gift of poetry.
Linda began writing Hai Ku as a young girl, enjoying the abbreviated style that inspired her to simplify the subjects she chose. As she matured, Linda was inspired to write lengthy poems dedicated to family members, friends, and favored topics. She was first published in 2009.
Linda has recently retired after 40 years in the high tech industry, working with her husband Bill. She lives on a hobby farm on the Tuolumne River in California half the year, and spends the other six months in a log cabin on the Grand Mesa in Colorado. They have raised two daughters, who are now married, and have five wonderful grandsons.
Most recently Linda published a children’s book, Help Freedom Fly, in 2025.
